I am a Northern California artist working primarily in Pastel. I love pastel because the process is very hands on and pastels make luscious marks.  And also because Pastel is pure pigment with a little bit of binder, so it will remain rich and vibrant indefinitely.

Our beautiful California landscapes and seascapes are my primary inspiration. I paint on location, en plein air, or from photos I’ve taken while out riding my bike, hiking or otherwise enjoying the landscape. My hope is that when people see my work it will spark their own joyous memories of special places and experiences where they connect with nature.
